Counterpoint
Brash salt, blatant
sugar,
subtle
olive oil.
Biting coffee, red
rush of wine,
pungent
spices and mellow.
Easy cream,
straightforward
almond
crunch.
Painfully knotted
thigh muscles
striving
then strumming,
Joyfully deep lungs
without
brain-tickling
smoke,
And ghost rings
pinching and
knucklebones cast--
Oh! Layered humanity
never
born in sin!
Sense and thought
are exactly God and
consciousness, the
discourse of divinity.
